Greta Magnusson Grossman has been an extremely important personality, able to move and influence the male-dominated world of mid-century modern design. For more than 40 years she operated between Europe and North America as an architect and designer and developed a very peculiar style, influenced by European modernism and combining the lifestyle of two continents. Thus, she could reach with her creations an incredibly wide target. Among the 40ies and the 50ies, her best works have been shown in renowned showrooms like the MOMA in New York and the National Museum in Stockholm. Despite she realized numerous architectural projects worldwide, Greta Grossman is essentially known for her indoor creations, like the iconic Gräshoppa lamp, realized for Gubi.
