Albero ("Tree" in Italian) is the iconic floor-to-ceiling free-standing bookcase designed by Gianfranco Frattini for Poltrona Frau in the late 1950s and now launched in a Limited Edition of 55 pieces in Italian olive wood. Each bookcase features the designer’s signature, the Poltrona Frau logo, the caption “Limited Edition” and a laser-engraved numbering from 01|55 to 55|55 on the lower part of the frame.
This iconic bookcase is formally associated with the Neoliberty period and is made up of few ingeniously interconnected elements. The structure stands out both for its complex cabinet work and for its sculpted nature, acting as the centrepiece of a room. The shelves, produced in MDF with olive essence veneer, can be positioned in the holes along the struts as desired with a minimum of eight and a maximum of 12 shelves. The Albero's frame is attached to this and the floor thanks to two adjustable metal ferrules that ensure its stability. Its height can vary between 2.66 m to 3.26 m.
Mohd proposes Albero Limited Edition no. 6/55 and 40/55.
Within each package there is an exclusive upgrade kit.
Poltrona Frau est synonyme de mobilier Made in Italy.
